The EVEC welcomes 100,000th visitor

The Electric Vehicle Experience Centre in Milton Keynes has welcomed their 100,000th visitor, just a few weeks ahead of their 2nd birthday.

Opened almost 2 years ago in 2017, the EV Experience Centre, or EVEC, has had great success in encouraging the uptake of electric vehicles in the Milton Keynes area and beyond. The Centre has seen over 3,600 short term test drives and over 600 long term test drives.

The Centre was opened as part of Milton Keynes Council’s Go Ultra Low City scheme, with the aim to educate and advise visitors in a relaxed environment, with zero sales pressure. The EVEC is the UK’s first education centre exclusively for electric cars, and offers test drive experiences in their fleet of electric and plug in vehicles from multiple partnered manufacturers.

Visitors can opt for a free 20 minute accompanied test drive with one of the Centre team or book out one of the vehicles for a long term test drive, 4 days 3 nights or 7 days 6 nights, for a small fee.
