1.1 EV 7 Day Experience

1.1.1 Between the 1st and 10th of every calendar month, you can bid for a week-long experience in the following calendar month for one of our fleet of vehicles as part of the EV 7 Day Experience (the “EV 7 Day Experience”) (see here for further information). The Polar Plus Website lists cars currently available for bidding, with the total number of Polar Points needed to bid for each vehicle listed next to them.

1.1.2 Each month, four Polar Plus members will be selected for each car that is available under the EV 7 Day Experience provided that they have entered a bid on the Polar Plus Website. Successful members are chosen based on the number of Polar Points in their account, whether they have been selected for an EV 7 Day Experience before and the number of unsuccessful previous bids they have made. Once the notification email has been sent by us, you will have 7 working days to respond before your EV 7 Day Experience is deemed as forfeited. On winning an EV 7 Day Experience, your Account will be debited with the number of Polar Points listed against that vehicle on the Polar Plus Website. If you do not win, your Polar Points will not be affected.

1.1.3 If you are unsuccessful, you will be notified by e-mail no later than the 13th day of each month and invited to apply again the following month. In accordance with our requirements under the ASA CAP Code, a list of previous winners (providing initials and UK county information only) may be made available to the public on request to those enclosing a stamped, self-addressed envelope to, Marketing Department, BP Chargemaster, 500 Capability Green, Luton, LU1 3LS. Do not send requests to this address after three months from the close of the relevant bidding period. Successful applicants that do not wish their information to be shared in conjunction with such a request must notify BP Chargemaster as soon as possible after being notified of their success.

1.1.4 The EV 7 Day Experience runs from 10:00 each Tuesday until 12:00 noon the following Monday. Vehicles must be collected and returned to the EV Experience Centre in Milton Keynes.

1.1.5 Vehicles collected under the EV 7 Day Experience will be provided with a complimentary Polar Plus Card providing you with access to charging points on the Polar Network and no electricity usage charges for the duration of the EV 7 Day Experience. This Polar Plus Card may only be used in conjunction with charging the vehicle collected by the winner under the EV 7 Day Experience.

1.1.6 Vehicles collected under the EV 7 Day Experience will be provided with insurance, subject to licence restrictions, that will cover for third party claims and any damage to the vehicle less any excess charge levied by our insurance company. For the BMW i8, Tesla S and Tesla X, the insurance excess will be £1,500. For other vehicles this is £500. You will not be covered for any damage to your own property or injury to yourself. EV 7 Day Experience vehicles are only to be used for social, pleasure and domestic use and must not be taken out of the UK.

1.1.7 All members will be responsible for the insurance excess applicable to the vehicle and the cost of any excessive cleaning, damage to wheels, loss of keys, RFID cards, spare wheel or other equipment from the vehicle. On collection your credit card details will be taken together with a reservation deposit of £500. The deposit for the premium vehicles (BMW i8, Tesla S and Tesla X) is £1,500. This will be released on satisfactory return of the car.

1.1.8 To allow for fair usage across the Polar Plus membership, winning members may not select each of the BMW i8 or Tesla Model S more than once in any three-month period. Note: you can select the BMW i8 in one month and the Tesla S in the next month.

1.1.9 In order to take part and enjoy the EV 7 Day Experience, you must have a valid full UK Licence for at least 5 years in order to drive the Tesla S, Tesla X or BMW i8. All other EV 7 Day Experience vehicles require a valid full UK Licence for at least 2 years. You must not have been disqualified in the last 10 years nor have more than 9 points on your licence. Driving licence and evidence of the above must be produced in advance of picking up the car. BP Chargemaster reserves the right to refuse eligibility if its insurance company refuses cover for any reason.

1.1.10 In order to take part, you must be between 25 to 70 years old at the time of the EV 7 Day Experience, save in the case of the BMW i8, Tesla S and Tesla X, where you must be over 30 years old.

1.1.11 BP Chargemaster may add or remove vehicles from the EV 7 Day Experience scheme at any time and you acknowledge that BP Chargemaster is not liable for any losses incurred by you that may be caused by this.

1.1.12 BP Chargemaster reserves the right to select the winning members for the EV 7 Day Experience in each month at its sole discretion.

1.2 Polar Plus for OVO EV Everywhere Tariff customers

1.2.1 You will be eligible for two years free Polar Plus Membership if you have switched to OVO energy’s EV Everywhere tariff.

1.2.2 To qualify for two years’ free Polar Plus Membership, you must first sign up through OVO energy (https://www.ovoenergy.com/ev-everywhere). You will then receive a referral link to Polar Plus in a welcome email. When you follow the link, you will be asked to sign up for a Polar Plus Membership. This will follow the process as set out in these terms and conditions. After sign up has been completed, you will automatically be eligible for two years free Polar Plus Membership.

1.2.3 This offer only covers the cost of your Polar Plus Membership. Any extra costs incurred at charging points, as set out as clause 4.2.4, will be charged to you.

1.2.4 At the end of the two year offer period, you will automatically be charged the monthly subscription fee. If you do not use your Polar Plus Card for a period of over six months during the two year offer period, you will no longer qualify for this offer and will be automatically required to pay the monthly subscription fee. You may cancel your Polar Plus Membership at any time in accordance with these terms and conditions.

1.2.5 This offer is only valid once per household. Customers may have more than one Polar Plus Card associated to their accounts but each additional card will be charged the monthly subscription fee. If you move house after having used the two years free Polar Plus Membership and sign up to OVO in your new property, you will not be eligible to receive this offer again.

1.3 AA Membership

1.3.1 If you have an AA Membership, you can receive a £1 off your Polar Plus Membership a month. To claim this offer, you can add your AA Membership number to your Account on the Polar Plus App or Website.
