BP Chargemaster is providing free electricity and public network subscription to the UK emergency services during the COVID-19 pandemic.
BP has announced that they are supporting the emergency services, with free fuel to police, fire, emergency NHS vehicles. As a part of this, BP Chargemaster will also be providing free access to the Polar public charging network for emergency fleet vehicles during the COVID-19 pandemic. This includes both our monthly Polar Corporate subscription fees and electricity charging costs on the Polar public network; RFID cards and access will remain the same, and the free period will start from the 21st March.
We will providing this to all existing emergency services fleets already registered for Polar Corporate, as well as all new corporate account holders.

I work for the emergency services, how do I charge my electric fleet vehicle for free?
To charge your vehicle for free, you need to have a Polar Corporate account. You canthen use your Polar Corporate RFID card to start and stop a charge, you will not be chargedfor the electricity used on our Polar charge points. We are also suspending any Polar Corporate subscription charges for emergency services customers.
How will I be reimbursed for the free charging for emergency services transaction?
When using your Polar Corporate RFID card, we will make the necessary arrangements toensure your monthly invoice will not detail any cost for charging on the network and your monthly subscription costs are suspended.
Are any charge points excluded from this offer?

I work for the emergency services, can I charge for free?
This offer is for charging emergency services fleet vehicles and does not cover charging for personal use.
How are you maintaining hygiene at your charge points?
We appreciate our chargers can be a high-touch environment. Our team of field service engineers are equipped with wipes to wipe down the screen and cables before and after theywork on any charge point. However, it will not be possible for us to do this between every charging session, given the size of our network and the level of utilisation. We recommend that customers follow the government’s advice when it comes to washing your hands regularly, specifically before and after using any public charging point – not just those on the Polar and Charge Your Car networks.

To join Polar Corporate, your fleet manager just needs to visit www.polar- network.com/corporate/
and fill out the application form, including the number of RFID cards (or key fobs) they need.
